What Italian Backroads is
A travel-itinerary search tool. Some itineraries are written and verified by us; others are generated by AI for destinations we haven't covered yet, and are labeled accordingly on the page.
AI-generated content
AI-generated itineraries can contain mistakes — a restaurant that's closed, a road that's changed, an opening time that's out of date. Always double-check practical details (opening hours, bookings, road conditions) before you travel. If you spot something wrong, please report it on the page — it helps us and other travelers.

Free searches & payment
Anonymous visitors get a limited number of free searches per day; registered users get a monthly allowance. If a paid tier is active, prices are shown before you pay and are processed securely by Stripe. Purchased credits and Day Passes are non-refundable once used, except where required by law.
Acceptable use
Don't scrape, automate, or abuse the search or feedback features, and don't submit false or malicious feedback reports. We may limit or block access for accounts or IPs that abuse the service.
Liability
Italian Backroads is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep information accurate, but we're not liable for losses arising from outdated or incorrect itinerary content, third-party services we link to, or your travel decisions.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Swiss law.
