Franciacorta, innovative bubbles

Get ready for the unforgettable breeze of Franciacorta, a region that is much more than just a name associated with a famous sparkling wine.

Imagine rolling hills covered with vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see, almost ending in the lake, ancient castles whispering stories of nobility, and charming villages steeped in history and gastronomic delights.

This is not just a journey, but an invitation to immerse yourself in the heart of Lombardy, where every sip of wine and every step tells a story of passion, tradition and breathtaking beauty. From historic walks to exquisite bubbly tastings and serene lake views, prepare to delight your senses and invigorate your spirit.

There will also be room to enjoy the immense views of this lake, including ascents and descents, flora and fauna of the protected areas. You will feel like you understand the location of the millennial ice that made the fortune of this patch of land millennia later.

Your journey begins in the charming town of Rovato, known for its history and culinary delights, before plunging into the world of Franciacorta's renowned wines.

📍 Rovato: History, Flavors and Medieval Walls

Start your day by parking in Rovato, a delightful town perfect for a stroll and a leisurely food stop. Head to the Parish Church of Santa Maria Assunta and then to Piazza Cavour. Next, visit the Convento dell'Annunciata. From there, you can walk along what is now the Rovato Comprehensive Institute to admire the imposing Venetian walls and the ancient castle. Continue your walk to the Ponte sugli Spalti bridge. If there is an active market, it is worth a short stop.

📍 Quistini Castle and Antica Trattoria del Gallo

Next, reach Castello Quistini, a beautiful castle with gardens. After your visit, you will have earned a typical lunch at theAntica Trattoria del Gallo. If possible, ask to have lunch inside, in the cellar, for a unique experience. After your meal, retrieve your car.

📍 Mosnel Winery and Al Rocol Farmhouse

Drive (responsibly, if you have tasted wine!) to Cantina Mosnel, one of the best Franciacorta producers ever, in my opinion. Although it is a smaller winery, it is really interesting. From there, continue your journey through the Borgo del Maglio di Ome to the last stop of the day: theAgriturismo Al Rocol. Here you will be warmly welcomed, including in their wine cellar. It is a comfortable farmhouse with nice rooms and excellent food, promising you a restful night.
